The 2023 Cerebral Puzzle Showcase is back with a bang! Last year’s inaugural showcase was met with overwhelming support, and this year it’s getting even bigger! Taking place from 3rd to 7th August on Steam, it will feature over 200 puzzle games, 9 of them brand new, and more than 40 demos!

With puzzle game fund Astra Games and puzzle game developer/publisher Draknek & Friends co-organising this event, us folks over at Thinky Games will be providing the thinkiest content for the 5-day event. Get ready for livestreams from beloved influencers in the puzzle games community on Steam! During the event, we’ll also be featuring an in-depth interview with the Talos Principle 2 devs, so keep an eye out for that!

When the event kicks off, players can look forward to 9 new game releases — including Sushi For Robots (a low pressure cooking puzzle game), Neon Noodles (create, test and optimize your culinary machines in a future where food is the ultimate status symbol), Word Factori (word-building game where your only resource is the letter “i”), A Slug’s Dream (the best puzzle game about a slug ever created), and so much more!

In the showcase, players will also be able to play demos of unreleased games for the very first time! This wonderful lineup includes the experimental exploratory music-puzzle game CRT7, the charming Ligo which centers on crushing, merging, cutting, pushing small creatures together; the quirky Forklift Flowerpot that is about a forklifting flowerpot dismantling the potato-dominated shipping industry as well as a secret not yet announced puzzle game that will be getting its first ever playable demo!

Joseph Mansfield, who’s organizing the showcase and who you’ll know as a writer here on Thinky Games, says, “We love having the opportunity to highlight the whole range of brilliant games that the puzzle genre has to offer.”

Get ready for the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase kick-off on the 3rd August at 6pm BST (10am PST), and follow the Thinky Games Twitter for more updates!
