Strange Jigsaws is my second favorite thing I’ve written about this year, behind Blue Prince, and I had to pause a beat before writing that.
Bioneers and Primordialis are two in-development games with premises that sound similar on the surface: pick and choose the smallest of building blocks to create larger creatures and find out how they function... but the executions are quite different. How thinky are they?

As Cleo Ace you'll play the novice sleuth, learning from your Sherlock of an aunt and sniffing out the culprits of various crimes.

"Draknek" (aka Alan Hazelden) is the familiar designer and/or publisher name behind many classic puzzle games, and these days they're also known for a recurring program that aims to provide much-needed funding to underrepresented developers working in our relatively niche scene of thinky puzzles.

Puzzle games don’t make us feel smart, nor inspire us to 'be smart', but quite the opposite. They make fools of us. Dazzled, starry-eyed fools. And with ignorance comes bliss. Well…most of the time.
