The first ever ThinkyCon took place from April 4th-6th, where a spread of industry devs and professionals showed up to talk at length about many different topics in the world of creating, publishing and studying thinky games. The great news is that if you missed the online event, or missed any specific talk you wanted to catch, they've now all been uploaded individually to our YouTube channel, preserved for you to watch whenever you have time:
Here's the big playlist of all 29 presentations!
Speaking not as a representative of the site or the event, just as an interested player and maker of games, I was truly impressed by the variety and depth of all the talks I managed to see live, and several I watched afterwards too. I think many of these are presentations that people will be sharing and referencing for some time. You can listen to university researchers talk about what they learned studying Baba is You players, or the fascinating challenges of translating puzzles into other languages, hear about how making art for your games can be broken down into simple rules, or take a deep, deep dive into just a single famous level. The list goes on, featuring too many different subjects to easily summarize. Check it out for yourself and enjoy ThinkyCon at your leisure.
