The playful bridge-building simulator Poly Bridge 2 has a new sequel coming soon: a reveal trailer for the third installment in the series was released this week. Showing off a toy-like aesthetic with even more polish and charm, lots of thematic settings and plenty of moving parts, it looks like a treat for all the armchair engineers out there.
The Poly Bridge games are a fun example of a different kind of thinky: rather than solving puzzles on a top-down grid, you need to contend with a basic simulation of physics: gravity, weight, different materials and all the constraints and problems they create. Work within your budget and use the tools available to get these vehicles where they need to go… which is easier said than done when the environment and local traffic keeps getting in your way. Creative solutions are very much the name of the game here.
Poly Bridge 3 arrives on May 30th, and you can add it to your Steam wishlist now. If you want to start construction right away, the first two games are currently on sale in a bundle for just under $5.
