The Talos Principle 2, the sequel to the 2014 first-person puzzler, is out now

Matt Fuller, 2 November 2023

After nearly 10 years, The Talos Principle 2 has finally been released to the world, and with it brings its stellar blend of narrative and puzzles to the next generation.

The Talo Principles 2 sees players explore a unique world and enjoy new features, story, and mechanics that expand upon the original for both a new and familiar experience.

Set in a world where biological humanity no longer exists, the game has players experience a character-driven narrative that will take you across multiple environments, all with vastly different and beautiful visuals as you unravel the game plot that touches on themes of discovery, purpose, and the cosmos. It's all very interesting and thought-provoking stuff.

When you aren't wrapped up in the game's story, you'll be tackling its many puzzles, which feature tons of different ideas and mechanics at play, some familiar, and some new, all working together to create an interesting experience.

You'll use abilities such as transferring bodies, manipulating gravity, making portals, twisting and turning environmental elements, and much more, all to tackle the game's challenges. On top of that, there are optional puzzles for players keen to 100% the game.

In case it's not obvious already, we are quite excited here at Thinky Games. Our Joel Goodwin got a chance to talk with Croteam a few months back about the game, and we recommend checking it out and hearing from the team about the upcoming game!

The Talo Princple 2 is available now on PC via Steam and Epic, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
