If you somehow managed to get through all of our thorough coverage of the Steam Summer Sale with your wallet intact and not enough games to play, don't worry: there must always be a Steam sale on the throne, and right now that sale is the Automation Fest, focused on games all about logistics, conveyor belts, and optimization.
Some questionable humor and narration aside, the trailer shows off lots of factory building games involved in the ongoing sale, including some that hadn't been on my radar. Games centered around building networks of paths to move things from one place to another efficiently can be very hypnotic to watch in motion.
The big new Coincidence release Kaizen: A Factory Story helped kick off the fest earlier this week. If you need some guidance sifting through all the other offerings on display, maybe some of our genre categories and lists in the database can help you out: we've got a broad engineering games category, and a specific genre page for many of the latest automation games, in addition to specific lists of Zachtronics and "zachlike" games, a popular niche-within-the-niche of automation and programming.
You can browse Steam's Automation Fest sale now until next Monday, July 21st.
