Ever seen a funny video of a dog carrying a very long stick? What if that dog was trying to solve puzzles? That's the question being asked by developers at Dead Pixel Tales in their newly released puzzle game Stick to the Plan.
You're a cute puppy traversing a grid-based world of flower pots, traffic cones, and other everyday obstacles, and they just won't stop getting in the way of this massive stick you're carrying around in your mouth. When you change direction, your stick swings in a wide arc, which is useful if there happens to be an important lever just out of reach of your little paws.
Watching the launch trailer below had me imagining all the puzzling potential in the mechanics, and called to mind memories of other well-known games where a protagonist has to navigate while swinging around an unwieldy object...
Stick to the Plan is available now on both itch.io and Steam at a 20% launch discount. (By the way, if you aren't aware: itch.io takes a much smaller revenue cut from developers than Steam does. Purchase there to help support the devs!)
