We’ve seen some great new games so far during our Thinkathon event, and we still have some more to show you before the week is over, and be sure to sign up for our giveaway for a chance to win free copies! Stuffo the Puzzle Bot is a new platforming puzzle game from Hapatus Ltd that was released today, and it's a great example of a game using simple mechanics to create exciting and clever puzzles that will tease your brain!
Stuffo the Puzzle Bot puts players in control of the titular Stuffo, the last remaining puzzle-solving robot stuck in a world filled with puzzles. and must find a way to escape. You'll need to move, climb, and use various blocks to solve each level's puzzle and reach the goal. Different blocks have different uses and properties: Some can simply be moved or climbed on, while others can teleport you or be used to elevate you to new areas. Each new mechanic adds interesting dynamics between each other and learning how they work together to solve the puzzle is both fun and engaging.
The level design compliments these tools, being approachable yet just challenging enough to get your cogs turning. Blocks can only be placed on metallic walls in the background, adding an interesting restriction to their transportation.. The different ways you can use each block will get you teeming with ideas of how to approach a puzzle and pick up the optional collectable “Atoms” along the way.
During my time with Stuffo the Puzzle Bot, I thoroughly enjoyed each puzzle and felt each was a healthy challenge that kept me engaged throughout. Experimenting with different blocks in each level came naturally after a few levels, and it consistently felt like the levels were given time and attention to make them worthwhile. It made for a satisfying experience, one that I wholeheartedly recommend.
Stuffo the Puzzle Bot releases today on Steam, iOS, and Google Play Store.
