A big update for our Thinky Games Database went live this week, and with it comes a strong incentive to sign up for a TG account: creating and sharing lists of your favorite games. You can now share links to your collections of games, but even more exciting, you can make any new curated list that you can imagine. Maybe, for example, a list of thinky games featuring bunnies? What better way to discover and recommend new games than sharing personalized selections.
If you don't yet have a Thinky Games account, you can sign up right here on the website using Google or Email or any of the standard options. (Clicking a Sign in button will create an account.) Once logged in, you can view your little profile page to start adding to the default Favorites and Watchlist collections, or you can make a new collection and use the easy search interface inside the collections page to add any game from the database.
You can of course always choose to keep your collections private if you so choose, but the options will allow you to turn them public in order to generate links you can share anywhere, letting anybody browse a big personal page filled with your curated selections (and hopefully spreading the thinky games love in the process, and enticing some people to check out the database for themselves!)
I'm very impressed with the usability and seamlessness of the new features that the web and database teams have been working hard on for some time now. Take a few minutes to check out the collections feature, I think you'll enjoy it. Maybe come up with a funny new way to categorize some puzzle games that we haven't thought of yet.
If you have suggestions, future feature requests, or feedback about any unexpected behavior you notice (we wouldn't be surprised if there are a few) come join our discord and let us know. Naturally it's the best place to come share your new collections too!
