Join the Roguelike Celebration for a weekend of talks and game deals!

Joseph Mansfield, 20 October 2023

Join the amazing Roguelike Celebration this weekend, 20th-22nd October, with talks about the roguelike genre, social spaces to chat with fans and developers, and discounts on loads of great games.

Roguelikes and thinkiness go hand in hand — explore a procedurally generated world, deeply understanding the systems at play to progress further with each run. Think Let's! Revolution!, The Ouroboros King, the upcoming Planetiles and Die in the Dungeon, and more!

Each year since 2016, the Roguelike Celebration has been bringing the genre's devoted community of fans and developers together to discuss design, development, and even the philosophy of roguelikes. Kicking off this evening with some introductory social time, followed by a weekend of talks and conversations, there are plenty of great events to see and take part in. Make sure to take a look at this year's schedule and find the talks you won't want to miss.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the event is its custom-built online multiplayer social space — wander a virtual conference center, find a friendly crowd, and discuss your favorite games and the talks you've been attending. A roguelike convention certainly wouldn't be complete if it weren't taking place in a roguelike world!

And that's not all! Alongside the conference itself, there's also a sale on Steam featuring loads of discounts on great roguelikes: The Roguelike Celebration Celebration (how many layers deep can this get?). Make sure to check out the list of games on offer, many created by the speakers you'll be able to see at the conference.

So, sign-up for the Roguelike Celebration if you'd like to see some great talks and discuss roguelikes with the community. The event is not limited to only those who can afford it — while the event is ticketed at a recommended price of $30, you can pay what you like, allowing everyone to take part in this incredible community event. See you in the virtual space!
