Draknek to the rescue: Alan Hazelden's studio & publishing brand Draknek & Friends (Cosmic Express, Bonfire Peaks, A Monster's Expedition) have announced a brand new podcast where Alan & in-house producer Syrenne will be hosting many high-profile puzzle-developer guests and interviewing them about anything and everything surrounding their work in thinky games.
The announcement arrives alongside two debut episodes: one where Alan interviews Syrenne about their history in the games industry and how they arrived in the puzzle genre and ultimately landed at Draknek, and a 2nd interview with Arvi Teikari aka Hempuli, best known as the creator of bona fide puzzle classic Baba Is You.
That's already almost 2 hours of quality behind-the-scenes content, with more on the way: their guest for next week's episode will be Lenophie, developer of the cute and very clever 2023 community favorite Paquerette Down the Bunburrows. New episodes are expected to debut every Thursday, and the guest lineup looks like it's shaping up to be a great who's-who of the modern puzzle games scene.
Alongside the podcast announcement, Draknek & Friends also revealed a new merchandise webstore, where you can find such enthusiast knick-knacks as a print of the full Monster's Expedition world map, or some very stylish Bonfire Peaks t-shirts. Truly an exciting day to be a puzzle fan.
