Headlong Hunt is a grid-based puzzler about guiding a skittish creature into your trap. If you step within line-of-sight of the silly little orange fluffball, it immediately flees from you, bolting head first into the nearest obstacle with a delightful thwack! Catching such a creature requires carefully planning your route, hiding in the long grass and pushing obstacles into place, making sure to only scare the little fella at exactly the right moments.
I played the original PuzzleScript version of Headlong Hunt back when it was released in 2021 and it quickly became one of my favorite puzzle games (not just among PuzzleScript games!). With its satisfyingly simple core mechanics and super-tightly designed puzzles, every puzzle features an incredibly elegant and deductive path towards its tricksy solution. Now with new art and music, a non-linear level map, and brand new mechanics that promise triple the puzzle count, Headlong Hunt’s fancy new release is a must-play for me!
