Catch the latest Thinky Stream today on Twitch

Corey Hardt, 20 December 2024

In case you didn't know... in addition to all sorts of written content and our shiny new database of all games thinky, we also do regular video stuff you can watch in the background while you ponder a puzzle.

Joe has been hosting Thinky Streams on our Twitch channel roughly every 2 weeks, and the next one is happening today (9am PT, 12pm ET, 5pm UTC, 6pm CET). Come hang out and chat, and maybe give him a subtle hint when he gets stuck. I believe if you follow the Twitch channel you'll be notified whenever we're going live.

If you can't make the streams, not to worry: we regularly upload the various game segments to our YouTube channel where you can watch at your leisure. We've also got video interviews and video articles from various contributors like Ambierona, not to mention the treasure trove of developer talks from last year's ThinkyCon.

This time around Joe is planning to play:

  • Michael Brough's compact roguelike 868-Hack, a very thinky risk-reward game of extracting as many points as possible from a computer system while contending with the various viruses trying to kill you (I love this game)
  • Vextorial, an upcoming "multi-dimensional platformer" where you'll be manipulating gravity and dealing with all the ramifications of switching things between 2D and 3D
  • A very intriguing stealth-puzzle game called Assassinvisible that takes place within a child's school notebook, where apparently the player is invisible both to the enemies... and also to the player? Only sometimes? The presentation is interesting and I'm eager to learn more

Hope to see you there in a couple hours when Joe kicks things off, and you can keep an eye on the newsletter where I'll usually let you know about the plans for the next upcoming stream.
