Our big awards show returns for its 3rd year, a celebration of all the finest new games that really made us think this year. You can find more info about the awards on the official landing page, and starting today you can nominate any game that you believe should be considered for the 2025 awards.
If you're new to the concept, you can view the lists of winners from our first ever 2023 awards, or the winners from last year. The 2024 awards show presentation in particular was something special:
The awards are broken into many categories each year: naturally we have the big overall Game of the Year award, which previously went to Lorelei and the Laser Eyes and Can of Wormholes in '24 and '23 respectively, but we've also got others like Best Approachable Game, Best Free Game and Most Anticipated Game which help to showcase the broad range of cool stuff happening in our hobby.
The big news today is that you can use our form right now to submit any games you believe should be nominated for any of these awards, as long as they were released somewhere between December 1st 2024 and November 30th 2025 (yesterday). The questionnaire itself lists out all the categories that are in the running this year.
These public nominations are open for the next week and will close on December 7th. Hope you'll help us pick out the best games of the past year and join us early next year for the 3rd Thinky Awards!
