Play golf with a line of friends on a 15-hole course.
Shall We Golf?, also known as みんなでGOLF!, is a snaking puzzle game about team-golfing with a bunch of friends. The golfers walk onto the course as one uninterrupted line; any golfer can hit the ball, and the line also acts as a wall blocking the ball’s trajectory. Golf games often involve timing and precise movements, but Shall We Golf? removes these elements in favor of spatial visualization and logical thinking.
As with most golf games, the goal here is to get a ball to the hole marked with a flagstick. However, the player gets to move a continuous line of golfers from the entrance of the level onto the course, much like a snake of unlimited length. Any golfer positioned next to the ball can hit it forward, sending it either to the limits of the course or to someone else in the twisting line. There is no limit to the number of shots, and the line can be extended between shots, opening up many possibilities.
Inspired by real-life golf terrains, the game features a few obstacles which further complicate the course. Some levels contain trees which block the ball and the path of the golfers, or water in which the ball could sink. The last holes even have sand-filled bunkers with a particular effect on the club. Though the puzzles can be difficult, any action can be undone (a classic feature of PuzzleScript games), making the experience rather forgiving.
Shall We Golf? encourages players to use the obstacles to their advantage—including the actionable line of golfers. It’s a concise game with straightforward mechanics, yet it gets rapidly tricky and requires creative solutions. After all, it takes clever coordination to golf with so many people.
