Game trailer

Pipe Push Paradise is a grid-based block-pushing game about connecting pipes and restoring water to the player character’s island home. Through sokoban-style mechanics, you’ll be pushing and rotating pipes to reconnect the water supply. Thinky audiences will appreciate the high level of difficulty nestled within this island paradise.

As the silent protagonist in charge of the island’s plumbing, you’ll have to push pipes on a grid, with the goal of connecting one source pipe to various target pipes around the room. Most of the pipes are bent in one way or another, such that when you push them on the side, they may flip and stick up into the air! This 3D twist on sokoban mechanics is inspired by Stephen’s Sausage Roll, another difficult sokoban classic.

Pipe Push Paradise gradually introduces additional mechanics that expand on the core pipe rolling, so that players are not overwhelmed—e.g. special tiles that rotate objects around the vertical axis, and ditches in which pipes can be pushed into to create new paths. You will slowly, but surely, expand your tools and knowledge for tackling these plumbing conundrums.

The puzzles are self-contained rooms embedded in an overworld, allowing you to tackle them in the order of your choosing. When you enter a level, a difficulty rating is displayed, giving you a broad idea of what to expect. The title of each puzzle also provides a clue about which steps you should take in order to clear it. To unlock further areas, you have to finish a certain set of rooms before the fence will vanish and grant you access to a new part of the island.

Pipe Push Paradise’s vibrant art style, accompanied by bossa nova style guitar music, really sets the tone for a difficult yet relaxing plumbing adventure on an island paradise. It’s upbeat, but not frenetic; colorful, but not garish.
