Ouros

Ouros is a geometry-based line-drawing puzzle game about creating smooth shapes. Using numbered targets, you have to bend and stretch curves to guide an orb in a circuit. It is a straightforward game with graceful design whose primary focus is to offer a relaxing moment.

An Ouros puzzle mainly consists of a curve which can be bent at several places, and an orb that constantly moves along it. A few numbers are scattered around the screen, and you need to find a way to bend the curve so the orb passes through all of them in the correct order. You often end up creating satisfying and elegant shapes.

The geometric objects manipulated in the game are called spline curves, and the nodes used to bend them evenly are called control points. Splines are commonplace in computer design and graphics.

The puzzles are divided into a handful of areas that each introduce a new gimmick, from more lines to manipulate to additional points that need to be crossed. The difficulty however stays very moderate; the puzzles in the last area are not necessarily harder than the mid-game ones.

Ouros can still be unexpectedly confusing over a few puzzles. You can use hints that show you which shape you need to create if you ever happen to be stuck.
