LOK Digital

LOK Digital is the digital iteration of LOK, a pen and paper game about discovering the hidden language of the Lok creatures. Shade in blocks and use various creature powers in order to solve puzzles, some of which are wholly unique to the digital edition. The game puts the emphasis on rule discovery, with players being taught to deduce the rules on their own through trial and error.

Since the Lok creatures can only live on darkened squares, your objective is to shade in the entire grid. Much like its pen and paper counterpart, LOK Digital is all about discovering and activating specific words of power to darken the correct number of blocks. For instance, if there are adjacent cells forming the word “LOK”, then you’re allowed to shade in these cells, along with one empty cell of your choice elsewhere on the grid.

In the vein of other rule-discovery games like the The Witness, Taiji, or Understand, very few rules are made clear from the get-go. LOK Digital follows in its predecessor’s footsteps and broadens the scope of rules for you to learn, as well as the tools you can use. Each puzzle's solution can only be found once its ruleset has been deduced correctly.

Creator Blaž Urban Gracar’s art is brought to life with satisfying sound design and fluid animations of the curiously cute Lok creatures. Explore 15 worlds, each with its own quirks, or create new puzzles with the level editor. There are daily puzzles too, and you can compete against friends and family to place atop the leaderboards. Meta puzzles abound as well, and curious players will find many hidden treasures if they know where to look.
