Hex Pivot

Hex Pivot is a single-screen sokoban game, published for day 8 of the Confounding Calendar 2025.

Hex Pivot, as its name suggests, takes place on a hexagonal grid and features a block-rotating mechanic. Moving with tank controls (left and right to rotate, up and down to move forward and back), the player character can push blocks along the grid and then rotate them by standing on special pivot points. The goal is to push the blocks on to designated spots, which will open up paths to the next blocks, gradually leading to the center space.

Trial and error will likely not get you anywhere. This game requires taking a step back and carefully thinking about the sets of moves that will lead to the blocks being pushed and rotated into the right positions. And for those who reach the center of the grid, you may find that the puzzle is not quite over yet.
