Strategically plant trees to create regions of similar shape and color.
Domino Grove is a free tile-placement web game about strategically planting colorful trees in a grid to create large areas of similar trees.
Each run of Domino Grove takes place on a 7x5 grid, on which you must place a series of randomly selected domino tiles. Each domino has two trees on it, which have a specific shape and color, and will score points according to nearby trees when placed. In particular, each region of same-shape or same-color trees that the domino is part of will score points equal to its size.
As the domino pieces are randomized in each run, you'll need to find strategies for placing dominos that maximize the chance of creating large regions of similar trees. As regions are defined by both shape and color, you'll need to think about multiple overlapping regions at the same time.
Domino Grove is a very simple, tactile game that you can learn and play very quickly, but with lots of room to improve your tree-planting strategies.
