Knock balls through hoops and pipes to navigate a non-linear archipelago of puzzles.
Croquet Conundrum is a free grid-based puzzle game about hitting a croquet ball through every U-shaped wicket. You only have a limited number of hits to achieve this and then sink the ball into an exit pipe. Some levels have multiple solutions, allowing you to explore the world through multiple paths.
You begin each level with only two shots, but every time you pass through a wicket, you regain a hit (always up to a maximum of two, though). Once you’ve gone under all the wickets, you’ll have to line yourself up to get into a pipe. Pipes act as portals to other levels. Some levels may contain multiple pipes, and therefore lead to different places. The game features a map showing the levels you’ve unlocked and the pipes you haven’t gone down yet.
As you make your way through the levels, you’ll encounter secondary mechanics about ice, sand and other balls that will be catalogued and described explicitly in a menu almanac. The game also has undo and restart options, along with a time-based hint system. Exploring the various connections between the islands will eventually lead you to one of the dead ends—levels that cannot be beaten and represent an ending. There are four such dead ends in Croquet Conundrum, and uncovering them may be quite difficult!
