Clues by Sam

Clues by Sam is a daily logic puzzle game you can play in your browser. The goal of each puzzle is to identify who's innocent and who's a criminal in a grid of 4x5 suspects. To do so, you must apply purely deductive logic based on clues given to you by each individual.

Each Clues by Sam puzzle features a 4x5 grid of people, each with a name and occupation. When you start the puzzle, one individual will already be marked as an innocent or a criminal, and below their name you'll find your first clue. Following that clue will help you identify another innocent or criminal, who will then give you another clue. The puzzle is solved when all of 20 of the suspects have been correctly labelled as either an innocent or criminal.

Clues by Sam requires you to use purely deductive logic. That is, you'll never have to make any guesses. Whenever you label someone as innocent or a criminal, you should be 100% certain about it. In fact, if you make a guess before you have complete information, the game will prevent you from making that guess, even if that guess would ultimately be correct!

This can often involve making complex deductions that involve multiple clues from different individuals. To help you process all those clues, the game highlights names and occupations that are relevant to any existing clues, and also allows you to tap a clue to fade it out when you no longer need it. Once you've finished the puzzle, like many other daily web games, you can share your completion time and accuracy with friends.
